Our Mission

At the Clinical Neuropsychology Laboratory, our aim is to translate clinical neuroscience research into better treatment for individuals suffering from various psychopathologies. Our research focuses primarily on the neuropsychological mechanisms underlying the transdiagnostic characteristics of various psychopathologies, with a strong focus on anxiety and related disorders (particularly Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder). We are also interested in further identifying and understanding the mechanisms that constitute successful therapy. Additionally, we are working on developing easy to use, evidence-based, technological tools that focus on training the cognitive and neuropsychological processes underlying psychopathology and treatment to yield better clinical outcomes. Our research incorporates various research methods (biological, cognitive, and clinical), and focuses on various evidence-based treatment approaches (such as therapy and medications). We believe such an integrated approach will maximize our ability to generalize our results across diagnoses and treatment modalities.
